This impressive day tour to lake paron (4200m), which is lie at foot of huge mountains such as: artezon raju, huandoy, chacraraju, caraz, & aguja, which are feeding with chill water, at the end of the lake, looks particularly brilliant. The challenging rock-climbing wall of Torre de Parón, known as the Sphinx, is also found here. The road to the lake goes through a canyon with 1000m-high granite walls.

Itinerary description:

Huaraz – Caraz – Lake Paron (4100 M)/ (13,448ft) – Huaraz

Breakfast 6:00 am departure 7:00 am/p>

AAfter your breakfast we are going to pick up you at your hotel with our touristic transportation to drive to the north of Huaraz city, along the rich callejon de huaylas valley, we make stop at anta to focus the most impressive view of Andes, including the exiting western Peru’s the highest peak Huascaran mountain at (22,2059ft),

After that we will continue driving along callejon de huaylas passing on the paved road though carhuaz, Yungay until caraz, then we will drive up toward mountains on dirt road, then we will drive on narrow paron valley with huge granite rock walls in each side until Lake Paron.

Lake paron is located 100 kmf from Huaraz, over the 4200m high with 73 m deep from the lake bank until bottom.

Parón is the biggest lake into cordillera Blanca if the weather is clear we will be able to watch several snowcapped peaks such as: Artesonraju, pyramid, Huandoy North, Pisco, Chacraraju Paria, aguja & caraz, where we will also enjoy taking pictures the most panoramic mountain view, The north shore is fine, but there is a very dangerous section on the south shore that is impassable due to potential falls up to 100m where the trail briefly disappears in favor of an unmarked section where slippery vegetation grows flush against the mountain surface, after walking for short time we came back to take our private transport and drive to caraz – Huaraz
