TREK LAGUNA WILLCACOCHA

Willcacocha is a beautiful lake located in the Cordillera Negra southwest of Huaraz highlight hike by the view of the Cordillera Blanca that you get from the top, It is appropriate for day acclimatization before attempting your second and more challenging acclimation hikes or multi-day treks, from it offers dramatic, panorama views of snow-capped peaks of the Cordillera Blanca.

Our Itinerary:

We will pick up you at your hotel with our private transportation, and then we’ll drive about 20 minutes south of Huaraz until shirapampa bridge, from where we will start hiking up toward Willcacocha Lake, The hike is gradual ascent up on by footpath The gravel road can be taken all the way up to the lake. After 1 hour hiking up we can reach the lake, from it offers superb and scenic view to the cordillera Blanca, summit as: mount Huascaran copa, hualcan, vallunaraju, ranrapalca, churup, huantzan and shacsha. Finally we turn back on the same trail up, where our private transportation is waiting us to come back to Huaraz.
